To increase his chances of being elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023, Bola Tinubu would have to be strategic in the kind of person he chooses as his running mate at the forthcoming elections.
It has been reported that the former governor of Lagos State is going to pick a vice-presidential running mate from the northern section of the country to have the backing of electorates from that region.

Being the governor of the most populous state in the North, Ganduje of Kano State would be a great fit for the choice of Tinubu's running mate, as the population of his state might be advantageous to Tinubu's Presidential dreams.
Also, his political experience stemming from his years as the deputy governor from 1999 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2015 might come in handy to Tinubu's campaign.

Another viable option for the post of Vice-president under Bola Tinubu is Professor Babagan Zulum, the Governor of Borno State.
